| Woodside Forecast Woodside Forecast: Sunny. Windy this morning. High plus 5. UV index 1 or low. 1000 metres Derek was enroute through California and almost into the LA basin when the I-5 highway was closed due to 2 feet of new snow near Lebec CA. He was re-routed several times as traffic snarled on alternate highways to the east. 11-28-19

| Woodside Forecast Woodside Forecast: Sunny. Windy. High 6. UV index 1 or low. Tonight: Clear. Windy. Low minus 3. Wind chill minus 10 overnight. 1000 metres Norm reported in from Mazatlan where he flew to enroute to Chapala & Valle later this week. A storm system came ashore at Mazatlan and it rained overnight. A lot apparently! Dude! Wheres my car? Derek is also driving south and will be joining the Valle group in a few days. It is gonna be quiet around Woodside but Bev and Martin are still here. 11-27-19

| Woodside Forecast Woodside Forecast: Mainly sunny. Windy all day. High 6. 1000 metres It was cold -14C as I drove back to Eagle Ranch and the Mounties were checking for snow tires on the Coquihalla. 11-26-19

| Woodside Forecast Woodside Forecast: Mainly sunny. Windy in the morning. High 10. 1000 metres It was cold -12C but nice snow conditions on the only run that was open (5 Mile). First time on skis in 30 years went well! Only four runs before heading back to lunch and a hot tub. 11-25-19

| Woodside Forecast Woodside Forecast: Mainly cloudy. A few showers in the afternoon. High 10. 600 metres Linda gets the "Desperado Award" for trying to fly her new Moyes Gecko HG today! Now she is calling it "Snowbird"! LOL! 11-24-19

| Woodside Forecast Woodside Forecast: Cloudy. Rain starting this morning. High 8. UV index 2 or low. 700 metres Great indoor chores day with 2 reserve repacks and trying to fit a regular reserve into a Woody Valley Wani XS harness proved fruitless! The pilot ended up swapping for an APCO Mayday 16 SLT reserve to replace her "way too big SOL reserve". Who names a reserve SOL? Richard S came by to pack a Beamer 3 Light into his harness readying himself for Valle de Bravo next week. And finally one last harness fitting for an OK pilot who is also heading to Valle in January. 11-22-19

| Woodside Forecast Woodside Forecast: Cloudy. Becoming a mix of sun and cloud near noon. Fog patches dissipating late this morning. High 11. UV index 2 or low. 700 metres I heard the pilots at Woodside got 2 short flights in nice boaty conditions but no lift. 11-21-19

| Woodside Forecast Woodside Forecast: Cloudy. Becoming a mix of sun and cloud near noon. Fog patches dissipating late this morning. High 11. UV index 2 or low. 700 metres Google Maps said 9.5 hours driving and 850 kms of road to travel. Foreflight said 1.5 hours flight time in the Cessna T337B and 248 miles. The weather looked good except for a low ceiling in Cranbrook whcih was forecast to burn off by noon. I loaded up the Skymaster and took off at 10:45 am. Smooth flight past Penticton and after that it got cloudy, but as I passed over Nelson I could see Nelson Airport. As I crossed the mountains west of Cranbrook I could see the solid cloud layer over the Columbia Valley (and no holes to descend into). Back to Nelson to fuel up and try a path down the VFR route (Creston - Moyie - Cranbrook). Cloudbase was about 4000 feet ASL so I had at least 1000 feet to play with and was going 175 mph so I got to Cranbrook Airport in 35 minutes. Zdenek & Rainer were waiting by the General Aviation ramp and we unloaded the motor and I took off for home at 3:30 pm MST. Cutting it close as Chilliwack was getting sunset at 4:39 pm today, but I have a night rating and two engines. As I passed over Hope on the descent into Chiliwack there was a glorious sunset. Elk Report - a large group of pilots met at the Prest Road LZ and headed up Elk for a hike & fly session. Reports of great soaring conditions for over an hour and strong SW winds on the flight out to Prest Road. Dennie took some snap shots of the action and I stole them off Facebook. These shots are of Claudia on her Ozone Swift 5 and she looks like she is above Dennie. Another shot of Claudia! Woodside Report - a smaller group of pilots flew Woodside for two flights and not much lift at 680 metres. 11-6-19 to 11-20-19

| Woodside Forecast Woodside Forecast: Cloudy. Becoming a mix of sun and cloud near noon. Fog patches dissipating late this morning. High 11. UV index 2 or low. 700 metres Colleen and I headed to Santa Barbara for the Ozone Dealer Meeting that was held on November 17-19. We learned about the new Ozone Mojo 6 coming next year, better glide than ever before and they are concerned that it may be too good and will cut into Buzz Z6 sales! Colleen & I even got to fly off the EJ Launch on Sunday afternoon. I was flying the Ozone Swift 4 that Rob H recently traded in and Colleen flew a borrowed Ozone Buzz Z6 from the demo pool. 11-5-19

| Woodside Forecast Woodside Forecast: Sunny. Becoming a mix of sun and cloud near noon. High 10. UV index 3 or moderate. 1000 metres Bev, Norm & Martin were set to go flying and encouraged me to load in my gear to practice my low wind launches . . . back to school for me. The Ozone Alpina 2 ML launched just fine thank you. There were actual nice cycles today. Martin got the longest flight with 17 minutes on the vario. Air was very smooth with the odd thermal trying to break through and the landing field was very nice with 10 kph of east wind. Everyone flew and we went back up in the Tracker to retrieve. 11-3-19

| Woodside Forecast Woodside Forecast: Sunny. Becoming a mix of sun and cloud near noon. High 10. UV index 3 or moderate. 1000 metres Scott from Scott's Tree Care came out and removed the wing from the North Side of Launch today. Note the inversion line in the smoke below Woodside. I took a nice guy tandem while his family watched intently with their six year old checking everything out very carefully as she was to go for her birthday next spring. It was a 13 minute sledder but he got to fly the entire flight and we had a "tippy-toe" stand up landing in the circle. We had an audience . . . two eagles sitting in the east Goal Post tree watched us and a few others land and never moved. The students got three more flights for a 14 flight weekend! Dylan and Derek C were all smiles and will soon be writing their P-2 exams. 11-2-19
