Agassiz BC Sun and clouds mixed. High 26C. NNE winds shifting to WSW at 15 to 25 km/h. 1000 metres Excellent launch conditions until around 3 pm when it went outflow for a bit, then great until dark. John (the paramotorist hopeful) logged five more solos today, and new student Dooly got one flight in and then forgot how to launch and had to go back to the training hill. Hunter arrived a bit late but was a natural and Degas had him ready to launch in a few hours, and thanks to SupAir for making the great EONA gliders that get our students soloing fast! Hunter logged two solos today too, so it was a very productive day. Bridal Report - Martin N reported slow climbs to 900 metres then easy after that (there was a definite inversion), but he had no company as it looked too stable. Lumby Report - Terry B reported that our latest P-2 graduate Will H was flying well as they topped out at 2000 metres over Lumby and they lamded at the Golf Course. Will is flying his new Swift 4 and looking good!

| Agassiz BC Sunny. High 21C. Winds light and variable. 1000 metres We had a nice bum landing in the centre of the circle as I did not want her to trip on landing. We went back up and I flew the Buzz Z4 and Norm & I spent an hour trying to get high at the north cliffs but the north winds kept it interesting (+5 m/s in the strong cores and -5 m/s in the sinky areas). TJs RASP showed this north wind higher up in the forecast but you had to hit it to believe it as it was all SW lower.
Local flight of the day was Gary P who crossed low over to Bridal, made it to Elk and then back to Woodside to top-land and drive Al's truck down! Al was down in the Herrling Island runway test flying a EN-B that did not quite have enough glide to keep up with Gary's Delta 2. We went up for one last flight around 6 pm and it was soarable and John W got way above launch on his Ozone Ultralite and John L logged his third solo then too with a brilliant reverse launch.
Awesome flights in Pemby as some folks headed south to Whistler and beyond before returning to Pemberton LZ. This is Alex R's SPOT track and it looks like he could have flown to Squamish or further south, but he chose to do an Out & Return.

| Agassiz BC Rain showers this morning with some sunshine during the afternoon hours. High 17C. Winds SW at 10 to 15 km/h. Chance of rain 50%. 700 metres
Blanchard Report - nice tracklogs up on XCFind as the Canuck Contingent did some out&returns over the flats. It looked like Claudia was scoping out new LZs by Colony Road?? 5-28-16

| Agassiz BC Considerable cloudiness with occasional rain showers. High around 15C. Winds SW at 10 to 15 km/h. Chance of rain 40%. 700 metres But after doing some weather reconn we set out toward Cache Creek, but the one mising intelligence was the Interior Radar which was down and they offered up a composite image that looked okay. So we plodded on down Hwy 1 through a lot of rain to find Cache Creek & Savona and Savona in a huge rain storm! We then headed towards Merritt but I was worried that the strong SW winds were going to be a problem, but when we arrived it was wind calm and drizzling so we went for lunch. After lunch it cleared up and we went to a nice park and John finally got to kite the EONA L, and he did very well mastering the As-Cs method right away and his forwards looked perfect too.
We headed back to the Ranch arriving back at 6 pm, to low clouds and rain. A lot of driving for a kiting session but what else are you gonna do? 5-27-16
|
| Agassiz BC Considerable cloudiness with occasional rain showers. High around 15C. Winds SW at 10 to 15 km/h. Chance of rain 40%. 700 metres Meanwhile . . . Claudia and Alex got a nice day above Chuckyournut drive. 20 km of SW wind, with thermals and cu as well. 20 other hang and paras out. Mostly stayed around 2000 feet but later I finally got to base at 4500. And some hangs reported 5000 feet in wave like lift even later.
Blanchard is a much better call on these low cloudbase days when Woodside/Bridal & even Lil Nic are clouded in. 5-26-16

| Agassiz BC Cloudy. A few showers beginning late this morning. Becoming windy this afternoon. High 17. UV index 3 or moderate. 500 metres Congrats to Kade for passing his P-2 Exam with great marks, and he needs just 8 more flights and a few more exercises to get signed off. Congrats also to Rob Wilson for passing his P-3 exam with over 80%. Rob was nervous but he cleary had studied the Transport Canada regs as he aced that section! He is moving to Whistler so watch for him on the ski hill and at Pemby where he logged a couple hundred hours last summer. New paramotorist John is here to pick up his Blackhawk Airmax 220, in the middle of the biggest rain front I can remember. Even Kamloops area is getting drenched today. 5-25-16

| Agassiz BC Partly cloudy. High 18C. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 km/h. 1100 metres Erik got his first three solos in today, after spending the day on the training hill in Mission. He did very well and is pumped to start flying his home site of Princeton. Will test flew the Rush 4 and then the Swift 4 and he liked the Swift 4 . . . a lot! By 130 pm, it got a bit strong so we did some ground school and fridge moving as we reconfigured the barn with a new fridge. Thanks Kade, Will & Erik for the muscles! Josh & Rod went up later and tried a flight and it was pretty strong on launch and not much lift for Rod who ended up in Riverside. Josh landed at the Ranch and said it was "rodeo conditions" on final so I am glad we called the day at 130 pm. 5-24-16
|
| Agassiz BC Partly to mostly cloudy. High 19C. Winds light and variable. 1100 metres New student Erik spent the day on the training hill in Mission, getting 20+ flights perfecting his launch sequence. Soon to be flying his home site in Princeton when he gets signed off. Cathy & Tim were here from Brooks AB getting their first Woodside flights before heading home. Martin N had a few nice flights getting 2+ hours and then driving for the others! Thanks! Thanks to Degas & Kevin H as they managed the students today, while I had a meeting in Burnaby. A great video from a competition seminar in 2012 with designer & test pilot Russ Ogden and Martin Orlich (Czech test pilot). 5-23-16
|
| Agassiz BC Rain showers early with overcast skies later in the day. High 17C. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 50%. 1100 metres Even when the clouds lifted around 3 pm, the wind was still blowing down? All the RASPs called for strong SW winds so what happened? At least we got some yard work done. Even Blanchard did not look good as there were not tracklogs up on XCFind from Sunday. 5-22-16
|
| Agassiz BC Cloudy with occasional showers. High 17C. Winds NNE at 10 to 15 km/h. Chance of rain 40%. 1100 metres Apparently Blanchard was the "place to be" as there was an early bunch that went XC to Fairhaven and a later crowd that got 2.5 hours in the bowl (Kevin & Derek included). 5-21-16
|
| Agassiz BC Cloudy with occasional showers. High 17C. Winds NNE at 10 to 15 km/h. Chance of rain 40%. 1100 metres 5-20-16
|
| Agassiz BC Sunshine and clouds mixed. High around 20C. Winds N at 10 to 15 km/h. 1100 metres Of course this is because it is a long weekend! I did see on XCFind that Guy & a few others doing sleddies in Pemby, which is much better in outflow conditions than the Fraser Valley. Ozone Zeno Report - Russ Ogden, Designer & Team Pilot at Ozone, was spotted flying a Zeno protoype at the UK North South Cup. It must be close to production. I love that these test pilots at Ozone fly what they design and fly it hard! 5-19-16
|
| Agassiz BC Cloudy. Showers this morning. 40 percent chance of showers this afternoon. High 15. 400 metres 5-19-16
|
| Agassiz BC Generally cloudy. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. High 17C. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 km/h. 1000 metres Steve is a few flights short of his P-2 but exam is written, he is flying very well so he is going to fly Revy with the Instructors up there to get finished. I headed in to Surrey to pick up my new Kangook Light Paramotor with MZ100 power, very light and compact but will still climb high for bigger pilots - for sale at $6000 CDN brand new without wing. 5-17-16
|
| Agassiz BC Cloudy. Slight chance of a rain shower. High 18C. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 km/h. 900 metres We also had a visiting pilot, Edwin from Hong Kong flying with us and he got his first thermalling today! He is a past student of my friend Kit from HK. I decided it was time for me to start flying as the students are having too much fun, so I got Bev to drive one round and I took the Large EONA out for a spin. It is important for an instructor to fly the gear they recommend for students, otherwise it is hard to tell if it is the wing or the student when issues arise. I got some nice thermalling around launch and I tried only one top-landing pass as my harness was all mis-adjusted from pilots hanging in it in the simulator, and decided it was easier to just fly out after 30 minutes. Nice climbs and the new Oudie Naviter 4+ vario worked very well, except it kept alerting me that I was near an airway. Yes I know it is there but it is 2200 feet AGL, and I have my HAGAR/PPL so I am legal. I will have to turn that off! I got lazy and landed in the parking lot at the Ranch, to be close to separate the glider from the harness rather than packing and unpacking it twice. The new hay is coming in fine and should make the approach into the Ranch easier for newbies as we pushed the corn back into the neighbours fields.
He got back with Sam B after being retrieved from Norm's LZ on Herrling Island (the one between the N-S lanes of Hwy 1. 5-16-16

| Agassiz BC Cloudy. Slight chance of a rain shower. High 18C. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 km/h. 900 metres Here is Stephen C on his new Ozone Geo 4, soaring in front of launch.

| Agassiz BC Cloudy skies. Slight chance of a rain shower. High 18C. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 km/h. 800 metres We arrived in Merritt at 11 am, to find perfect launch cycles on the Upper Launch areas and I had Dennie fly off first to check the air and he had a buoyant flight out to the Upper Bench LZ. Chris O, Will H, David M, Iain S all flew with perfect launches and landing approaches.
Next flight off and Will H goes straight out and he caught a good thermal, so rather than oscillate through it I had him 360 and he smoothed out and went up to cloudbase for a 1000 metre gain, while the others sledded down to the Upper Bench. Rather than trying to talk him down to the Bench, I had him fly out to the big hay fields out to the NW. Third flight was a bit more thermic, with Dennie doing some low ridge soaring before heading out to the hay fields.
I had everyone fly out to the Hay Fields on this flight as we could head home from there.
Pemby Report - while we roar-tripped to escape strong winds, Pemberton had light winds and epic flights again as reported back from Sean Gibson & Darren H. Some nice tracklogs up on XContest Canada . You will notice Peter logged a 200 km+ flight at Miles In May in AB on his new Ozone Alpina 2. 5-14-16

| Agassiz BC Sunny. Becoming a mix of sun and cloud this morning. Becoming windy late this afternoon. High 25. UV index 7 or high. 2800 metres Then as forecasted it switched to strong SW winds and one lone brave PG pilot took off from Woodside and made a mad dash to Riverside with lots of wing oscillations as the air was very mixed up (probably layers of outflow not mixing well with the unstable inflow marine layer). The students went out kiting with the apprentice instructors while Colleen & I ran errands. The errands were tough as some thieves stole some copper wire from the Woodside telephone poles on the east side of the mountain taking out Shaw & Telus internet connections and it was "Cash Only" in Agassiz. The winds never abated til dark, so no more flights here and none of us wanted to drive to Ashcroft again this week. Pemby Report - while we endured strong winds, Pemberton had light winds and epic flights as reported back from Shaun Ginger and Sean Gibson. Some nice tracklogs up on XContest Canada . You will notice Al, Peter & Andrew are logging flights from Miles In May in AB this week. 5-13-16

| Agassiz BC Sunny. Becoming a mix of sun and cloud this afternoon. Wind becoming east 20 km/h near noon. High 24. UV index 6 or high. 1800 metres We arrived at the base of Coyote Hill near the Ashcroft Manor to find perfect NE winds, but decided to have a snack (which turned into a full meal for some). We eventually got to launch and set up the students and one by one they flew off and had great flights. Another great crop of students this week, with perfect launch form! Newbie Jaime is on the 4th day of training and still showing wveryone how to stay aloft . . . in fact I had to get him to pull big ears to get him from going to cloudbase!
It got a bt cross and strong from the SE so we headed back to the Ranch to find light outflow on launch so we ended the day early at 7 pm. Reports of a dust-devil at King Eddie LZ that created an impromptu SIV Clinic for Eric G, which he escaped unharmed while Juan climbed out in the remains of the dustie! It was definitely unstable in the Interior! 5-12-16
|
| Agassiz BC Sunny. Becoming a mix of sun and cloud near noon. High 23. UV index 6 or high. 1800 metres
He did very well on his first flights! Garrett & Jaime were thermalling over Woodside for over an hour, Garrett on his first high flight & Jaime on his 5th high flight!
John, Hammer & Degas flew from Benny and we saw them come over Dewdney Mtn. as we aere training at Neilson Park. Degas laanded at Eagle Ranch, while John returned back to Benny to get his truck. 5-11-16
|
| Agassiz BC Partly cloudy. High 23C. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 km/h. 1100 metres So we started kiting in the NW winds, very nice with wind up to 20 kph, great for reverse practice for students and tandem candidates. And then around 3 pm it started raining as forecast, but we di not see any NW wind in the forecasts as it was all supposed to be strong SW inflow winds. Nit a bad day all around with an early finish for a change. 5-10-16
|
| Agassiz BC Sunny. High 24C. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 km/h. 1800 metres Students were flying after 11 am, when it was pretty leeside, not rough but hard to launch. So the tandem candidates decided to go kiting theri big rigs instead. The students also kited until we saw more gliders launching as there was a big XC contingent out today. By noon the CU over Woodside was starting to form and it was high,
Some nice flights logged on Leonardo here. . Most noteable is Mike M's flight considering he has only 45 flights and kept up with the big guns! The tandem candidates had a big flight around 3 pm, with Corinne & Willy staying up for over an hour and exploring Woodside from up high.
This video brings back good memories of flying Organya last September with Colleen. A "must see" for anyone flying Spain BONUS ORGANYA from Ahstudio Filmmakers on Vimeo. 5-9-16

| Agassiz BC Sunny to partly cloudy. High 21C. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 km/h. 1800 metres But we did wait and get a nice last flight although it was rather late. 5-8-16
|
| Agassiz BC Cloudy. High 26C. Winds WSW at +30 km/h. 1000 metres We left at 1030 am to head to Ashcroft as the forecast looked good for the area for student & tandem practice flights (NW at 20 kph). At Ashcroft we had SW winds, the wrong direction for Coyote Hill, so on to Savona. We arrived to light to nil winds and waited at the Toilet Bowl and the winds quickly escalated to +20 kph and gusty. When we got a lull I pulled up the EONA M that Will has been flying and I was kiting when I got lifted a good 30 feet in the air and was flying backwards to a soft touchdown and no dragfest (too much cactus to not land properly). We packed up and headed back to Ashcroft as the wind was now under 7 kph from the NE.
By now the Kamloops forecast had been amended to +30 kph from the NW for the area, I guess someone looked out the window in the weather office? Back at Mother Woodside it was still gale force on launch so we went to dinner and it rained hard all night. 5-7-16
|
| Agassiz BC Abundant sunshine. High 26C. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 km/h. 1000 metres We got an early start and all the students logged at least three solo flights, and as forecasted the winds picked up around 2 pm. Jared was flying the Egde Paramotor glider and hit some -3 m/s sink on th eay to the Ranch and had to land short in the cow pasture next to an electric fence. He was right next to the charge battery so he unhooked it to pack up and reconnected it as he left . . . smart student! We went to Agassiz Rec Centre ball fields to kite and found it quite mellow compared to Eagle Ranch or Harvest Market. The tandem students got to kite their big rigs, while the students mastered their reverse launches in 15-20 kph South winds. Lost HG Report - Shafi called me around 5 pm, that he could not locate Pedro after going to all the usual landing fields. Pedro was last seen over launch while they were packing up Morgan's HG as he thought it was too strong. After a few hours and no phone contact, I had Shafi call 911 to see if there was any reports of a downed HG. This escalated to a full search with RCMP helicopter looki gover the area too. Pedro had finally got a phone call out to his wife that he was safe but very wet after landing in the Harrison River near Chehalis Band Land in the rotor behind Woodside. He drowned his phone landing in chest deep water, so no communication and it took him 2 hours to extract everything and find a ride back. Meanwhile SAR arrived with full crews and command station, marshalling at the Ranch.
If you do stray too far north and hit the rotor line, turn downwind fast and head to the Chehalis Band Football Fields 2 kms north of the river. This is a less windy area and is well out of the rotor.

| Agassiz BC Plentiful sunshine. High 27C. Winds NNE at 10 to 15 km/h. 1000 metres Terry & Andrei took the students to Mission as we had +30 kph NW wind in the LZ so no kiting here. I was doing the Instructor Seminar with the new Instuctors and they created a ground school session that was later presented to the students. Kevin & Dennie did the Weather Briefing session.
And around 4 pm as forecast the outflow switched to inflow and we went flying. Colleen did the wind tech duty and was soaring while I launched the senior students. One by one the Instructors launched between the students and they all soared while the students did their first flights.
We got 5 students into the air in nice 10-15 kph SW winds, and it was windy on the way out and only one student did not make it because he thought min-sink was the proper hand position for best glide, problem now fixed. I raced down and took the students up for one last flight, so the Instructors could watch Colleen guide them in. 5-5-16

| Agassiz BC Mainly cloudy. 30 percent chance of showers this morning. High 22. UV index 5 or moderate. 1000 metres Will just started today and he was kiting like a pro! Phillip is on Day Three and is also very good with the kiting, even kiting in the stronger gusts that were shaking the Barn. Chris is nearing the end of a Five Day Course, after lots of kiting last spring too. And this was his first chance to really kite reverse. All of his 10 launches so far have been forward launches.
It switched to Westerlies, and too cross here or at Heritage Park, so we went to the Baseball Park off Stave Lake St. and the guys did another 6 runs there. This launch is tight with trees either side and we had little drama, as the pilots were exercising good skills. We headed back to Woodside around 5:30 pm. Derek, Pecos Pete and Terry R came up to be wind techs. It was quite cross and north when we arrived but the smoke from the fires near Deroche were blowing toward us, so we had hope. Derek caught a good cycle, and he was off and soaring. Pete was off next followed by Terry.
When I turned around to see Phillp's progress, he had flow too far north and was in sink so I got him to follow the highway to regain some lift (blacktop creates thermals). He was on track for the Ranch now as Will launched his first high flight solo, and he also had a great werful forward launch and kept runing as he disappeared over the edge clipping a tree down low with his knee before flying away. After that it was tailwind and I did not want Chris to be hanging in a tree for the evening entertainment, so we drove down after guiding Will into the circle. 5-4-16

| Agassiz BC Cache Creek: Mainly cloudy with 40 percent chance of showers. Wind becoming west 20 km/h this afternoon. High 24. UV index 5 or moderate. 3000 metres But the forecasted weather in Savona did not materialize and all we saw on the radar was heavy rain, so we stayed and did Ground School lessons. It quit raining here around 2 pm but cloudbase was too low to fly so more lessons, and exam writing and Phillip handily passed his P-1 exam. I was working outside, Aaron & Josh were building a mesh barrier to keep the bats out of the barn and Phillip watched all the videos in the library. Then miraculously, at 4:30 pm launch opened up and we drove up. When we arrived there was light SW wind and a few clouds. By the time Phillip got ready it had closed in enough that a safe second solo flight was unsafe, so we waited. His ride was not coming til 6 pm so we just waited.
Phillip is flying the SupAir EONA L and he brought it up carefully and perfectly straight and had a nice launch into very smooth buoyant air. He followed the Hwy west to avoid the Harrison Highlands CU and it was very calm in the air.
I had him do his approach over the plowed cornfield west of us and he executed a perfect final into the circle. I drove down and called Derek that it was "fly time", but by the time I arrived at the Ranch it had OD'ed and started sprinkling. Good for the new hay we planted but not so good for a second flight. Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo, and the Sasquatch Inn is having a party but it will be on May 6th?? 5-3-16
|
| Agassiz BC Cache Creek: Sunny. Becoming a mix of sun and cloud near noon. High 28. UV index 6 or high. 3000 metres We had Chris who has been here for 5 days training on the Ozone Zero 19 and he got two flights in before it blew out. New student Phillip arrived this morning and did ground school and was able to kite reverse like a pro first try! Even forward launches were no issue and he had a perfect posture just like in the Ozone Ground Handling video we watched earlier. We were on top kiting watching Chris fly off and Phillip got the EONA L up over head kiting stationary for 2-3 minutes and he said "Can I go now?". My answer - "Of course!" and off he flew a perfect approach into the Ranch. Damn my job is getting easy! After we watched Chris fail to make the Ranch on his Zero we headed to Mission to the Training Hill and we had stellar conditions initially and got Phippip some great runs there (4-5) before it got too cross. I tried kiting and the winds were coming from the NW as a big cell developed North of Mission. We moved down to the flats and Phillip mastered the kiting pretty darn good for Day One. When we got back to the Ranch we heard someone was flying but they did not land at the Ranch. It was Sam A on his new Ozone Swift 4, getting a happy birthday flight.
Al Hammer was stil hitch-hiking back from Pemby when I called him this afternoon, still glowing from his awesome flight thru Tiger/Grizzly Country. 5-2-16
|
| Agassiz BC Sunny. High 28C. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 km/h. 1000 metres So we stayed home and got everyone suited up for the day. Al (The Hammer) called to say he was flying north from Benny today, and was looking for some fliers to support him. apparently, only Sam A went along. Derek did two tandems today with a friend from Chilliwack, nice and smooth at launch & landing. We had Brian from Edmonton getting enough flights to qualify for a speed wing flight later today. Chris from Canmore was already flying the Ozone Zero 19 and was piling on the flights (this is his second season with us training). Mark arrived from San Juan Island to start a five day course and was flying by noon! On his second flight Mark got way above launch in a nice thermal, smooth sailing.
Kevin arrived to pick up his PA speaker from the weekend party and told us that Al had arrived in Pemberton afte flying almost 190 kms over tiger country popping out over Lillooett Lake. What a day, good for students at Woodside. Sam A called to say he had to pull big ears & speed bar to stay below the 1890 metre ceiling at Benny, as he watched Al head north. Bridal pilot reports were from 2000 metres over Cheam and further east.

| Agassiz BC Sunny. High 26C. Winds light and variable. 1200 metres The Mission Training Hill faces South but the prevailing winds were being cancelled out by thermal cycles so the conditions were perfect and the guys got nice long flights down to the flats. Everyone did 6-7 runs and it provided invaluable to get some wrinkles out for everyone. We got back to the Ranch at 1:00 pm, and there had been pilots on top for a few hours but they were not able to launch due to the tailwinds. We had to get some reserves in harnesses and we were heading up at 1:30 pm, with Colleen as wind tech on her new Ozone Swift 4! Colleen launched as soon as we got solid cycles followed by Rusty from Williams Lake. Colleen climbed out to 1000 metres immediately despite a dead vario, forgetting her job as wind tech for the newbies but we had some seasoned students that are landing themselves quite well so we sent them off after her.
Colleen headed out to received the new students and we had a good set of launches with everyone getting off the first try with no drama. We went back up immediately as they were keen for another flight and this time we had a few aborts for safety sake . . . don't continue your launch if you don't feel the wing solidly. This set of flights new student Brian from Edmonton, was able to hok a nice thermal and stay up for 15 minutes longer. Not bad for flight #2! Norm and a few others came up on this flight and Norm later reported he got to 2000 metre over Woodside before heading east. Bill went that way too and was faced witha big hike back. A damned good day for all the students, we only got 2 high flights but the overall experience on the training hill and the high flights made everyone feel very confident. I love my JOB! Benny Report - Al took 8 other pilots up Benny around noon and they had interesting flights in the leeside thermals. Most made the milkrun to Hatzic Lake and Al pressed on to Woodside landing near Lake Erroch. Woodside Report - we were here at Eagle Ranch from 9 am hoping to get the new students into the air after noon but the outflow winds on top meant we had to go to Mission for training hill practice. They all regrouped and headed to Bridal where epic fights over Cheam ensued with great smooth conditions as the westerlies kicked in around 2 pm. 4-29-16

| Agassiz BC Abundant sunshine. High near 20C. Winds light and variable. 800 metres I took Travis, Brian, new student Nick (recently minted P-2 in the US), Stefan up for 3 flights today and they even got to fly the stronger stuff with Nick & Stefan getting over an hour on the last two flights. It was Travis' last day with us and he also had a nice thermalling flight on our borrowed Blackhawk Edge wing. Lots of pilots went XC today, including past alumni Sam W who followed KVA across the Fraser towards Ludwig, but landed short on a railway track. "How do you get grease out of a wing?" was heard around the campfire later. Mid-Day after launching the students, Bill & I took a nice couple tandem who had gotten wweathered out last year many times and the flights were worth the wait! Great climbs all over Woodside and so much altitude Bill had to do wingovers over the Ranch despite his passenger feeling sick (yes he puked). Another past alumni from 2015, Tommy got a really nice flight too launching after we flew tandem, but grovelling a bit down low before he caught a good climb above launch. He was pumped! Peter S took a new route to Bridal and back today with a flight north to Banjo before heading to Green Hill and beyond. Some folks are posting on XContest and some on Leonardo so you have to hunt around for flights these days. The Leonardo Tracks for the last day of April are located here. Thanks to Paddy & Pedro for organizing the WCSC BBQ & Fly In today! 50+ pilots came over to party and we had the most awesome band that included Joe C, Kevin A, Degas, Julian, and Alex (on sax) and they jammed like they had been playing together for years!
Pemby Report - We had a group of visiting Seattle pilots so we showed them how awesome Pemberton can be! Climbs to 2800m and somewhat-funky north wind. You can drive all the way to upper launch now. Pic is still-frozen Tenquille Lake, just behind Copper and Goat Peaks - Nicole
